Customer Review: Awesome BT headset!!!
The playstaion 3 bluetooth headset is great. It works on both ears and is 10 times clearer than other headsets. No stadic. This works on cell phones, looks kool, and is a great fit on ur ear. I highly recomend this headset over all the others.
Customer Review: I returned it
This headset has a lot to offer in terms of features and Playstation 3 integration, but its lack of comfort and low microphone volume made it unpleasant to use and I returned it. It did not rest well on my ear, even after adjustment and trying the different earpiece adapters, and the earpiece itself is uncomfortable and made out of a hard ring of rubber. It does not have a form-fitting shape. It looks very attractive but seems more designed for modern looks than comfort. In the game EndWar (UbiSoft), the microphone volume was not loud enough even with the volume at max. I either had to yell or remove the headset from my ear and hold it directly in front of my mouth. If you google for this issue you will find that this is a common problem with this headset. I tried many approaches to resolve this issue without success. I now use a Sennheiser PC166 USB headset, which is a traditional design wired headset that I plug directly into the Playstation 3 via USB, and it works great. Excellent volume level, and I greatly prefer the open-ear stereo headphones to a monaural bluetooth headset. Yes, it isn't wireless, but it's reliable, comfortable, and sounds great. It appears that a lot of people like the Playstation 3 bluetooth headset, which I frankly don't understand. There are a lot of better alternatives out there if you are willing to go with a wired headset. I *am* glad that Sony has an official headset, but I can't recommend it, unfortunately. Fortunately, there are good alternatives.
